WESTERN AUSTRALIAN ROOTS

Although Bombak Distillery was the new kid on the block in the distillery scene, the brand has deep family roots stretching back 4 generations in WA, with the site of the distillery initially market gardens owned by the founder's great grandfather from 1946.

In addition to the family roots behind the spirits, are also physical roots in the form of the native botanicals. Botanicals that can only be found in Western Australia, creating unique flavour profiles like no other.

BRANDING

We needed to design a brand mark that reflected this idea of these deep Western Australian roots - both through family and botanicals.

DYNAMIC LOGO

The brand mark is designed to be height adjustable, with the ‘stem’ of the logo stretching as high as needed for various formats.

PACKAGING

Launching with three core gins, we needed to create label designs for the bottles that heroed the brand mark and cohesively tied all three gins together, whilst allowing each to maintain its own identity.

VISUAL LANGUAGE

To expand the visual language for the brand for use on website and other comms, we commissioned hand-painted artworks of the ingredients found in each gin, and used them to create patterns.

WEBSITE

We needed to create a website that not only reflected the minimalism of the brand, but also embodied the 'roots' concept at its core.
Creating a parallax scrolling website, we were able to use the 'stem' of the logo as a connective thread throughout the length of the website, then linking to a full e-commerce functionality for purchasing Bombak products online.
